Basel Chamber Orchestra
The Basel Chamber Orchestra is firmly anchored in Basel with its two subscription series at the Stadtcasino and Don Bosco. The concert programmes range from Viennese classical music with works by Mozart and Beethoven to contemporary music. In the long-term project Haydn2032, all of Haydn's symphonies are performed and recorded.

New Album - Addio Amore
Our new album, Addio Amore, is released today. The Basel Chamber Orchestra, accompanied by soprano Jeanine De Bique and countertenor Terry Wey, presents a programme of piercing intensity and refined expressiveness, exploring the fragile boundary between love and loss in 18th-century opera. Drawing inspiration from a time when singing was not just a display of virtuosity, but a direct expression of the heart's emotions, this recording delves into the emotional essence of separation — when loved ones, friends, and heroes are parted and music becomes the sole source of solace. Haydn Masses for listening at home
The concert recording of Haydn's 'Mass with Timpani' and 'Mass in C Major', performed on 3 December 2025 at St Martin's Church and featuring René Jacobs and the Zürcher Sing-Akademie, is now available online.
