The Basel Chamber Orchestra is proud and happy to count important companies from the Basel region among its sponsors. Their support enables and ensures the sustained high artistic quality of the projects.

For it is not only at the artistic level that the "Baslers" are unique. In terms of its financing, too, the Basel Chamber Orchestra consistently pursues the profile of an innovative orchestral enterprise. This is evidenced by a high level of self-financing of 87%. The orchestra generates about 60% of this through concert revenues, while 13% comes from the two half-cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft. The Basel production company generates about 27% of the total budget from private funds (sponsoring, foundations, circle of friends and patrons). Comparable orchestras in Switzerland are financed up to 75% with public funds.

The Basel Chamber Orchestra continues to rely on securing its sustainable funding. As an ensemble that has to align and assert itself in the field of tension between its high artistic standards and a competitive concert market, it is subject to a great deal of pressure to perform - an environment that the musicians and all those responsible behind the orchestra see as an opportunity and which motivates them to give their best.
